Huawei has been busy this year, likewise the Honor sub-brand. The company recently launched Honor V8 and Honor 5c, but come July 11, Honor 8 will hit market. The launch date has been confirmed in a teaser posted by Huawei.
Honor 8 has already passed China’s TENAA’s certification, and quite a lot of the technical specifications have leaked. We’ve also been able to glance at the design, but this is nothing out of the ordinary.
Huawei has been fitting it’s flagship devices with dual-camera lately, and Huawei Honor 8 gets the same treatment. Two 12MP cameras are at the back, with an 8MP camera sitting right in the front. Honor 8 comes with a 5.2-inch display with full HD resolution.
The phone is expected to come with a HiSilicon Kirin 950 chipset, a quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz. There will be 3GB RAM with 32GB storage, 4GB with 32GB storage and 4GB with 64GB storage variants.
The phone will ship with Android Marshmallow behind Huawei’s custom user interface, EMUI. A fingerprint sensor is seen at the back of the smartphone.
Huawei Honor 8 has its dimensions at 145.5 × 71.0 × 7.45 mm, and it weighs 153 grams. The phone would be a dual-SIM device with 4G LTE connectivity enabled for both SIM slots.
Pricing is not yet announced but there are speculations that the base configuration would be around $300.
