Line 7.0.0 for Android Brings Much-Improved Media Sharing and More.

  • New Line update lets users send photos and videos at the same time
  • Line users can now share up to 5 videos at once
  • Profile videos will now play on Timeline
Line has started rolling out an update for its Android app that brings major improvements to its sharing feature. The all-new Line 7.0.0 will allow users to send photos and videos at the same time. This means there are now no extra steps when sharing media content in a chat. The new Line messaging app version 7.0.0 is now available to download via Google Play for Android and brings all the new features. Unfortunately, there is no word when the iOS app will receive the same update.
Line confirms that users will be able to send up to 50 photos and 5 videos at one time. Announcing the new update, Line in a blog post said, "No more extra steps required when sharing those great memories with friends. You can send photos and videos all together at once in your chats!"
One of the biggest advantage is users now will not be required to select photos and videos separately. Earlier, Line allowed users to only send photos from the photo selection screen. With the latest Line update, users will be able to send both photos and videos from the photo selection screen.
Apart from bringing major photos and videos sharing features, the new Line update will now let Profile videos play on the Timeline. Line says that profile video icons for users will now play when viewed on Timeline. Users will have to however set up a video icon to notice the new feature.
